Kerri is a tactile person who enjoys working with her hands. Taking inspiration from the natural environment, Kerri likes to embellish products with hand-dyed fabrics, freehand machine embroidery, and fabric manipulation techniques to create organic patterns and shapes. Graduating from the College of the North Atlantics Textiles program in 2013, she has worked multiple jobs doing seamstress work – from clothing alterations to gigs as a wardrobe assistant, and making her own products such as clutch purses, cards, and embroideries.
As a juried member of the Craft Council of Newfoundland & Labrador, she has participated in various markets, exhibitions, and events of craft culture. Kerri now has a studio space with the Quidi Vidi Plantation, and is looking forward to growing and exploring this new chapter as a full time textile artist.
