This event takes place Mar 21, 2020
Do you ever get asked to create costumes for others? Do you grandchildren bring you the strangest characters and say they want to be them for Halloween? Do you sometimes feel like you need some extra help in your costuming projects?
Nicole Maddox, also known as Mad Maddox Cosplay, is a local cosplayer (costume/play) who has created award-winning costumes. As part of the Anna Templeton Centre’s We ♥ Craft, funded by New Horizons, her work will be on display at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation from March 21 to April 3rd, featuring a number of her best-known works.
The exhibit opens at 1:30pm on March 21, 2020, and Nicole will be talking about her work and answering your questions about cosplay and costumes. Ask about sewing techniques, beadwork, embroidery, what fabrics to use, or any other costuming questions you may have.
Mad Maddox will also be showcasing a brand new cosplay at the exhibit opening and is encouraging everyone to wear their own cosplays (encouraged but not required).
Tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided at the exhibit launch. Registrations through Eventbrite is requested but not required.
Come to the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation to see Mad Maddox Cosplay’s work, and be sure to visit the craftspeople in their workshops on the second floor.
