This event begins on Jul 14, 2021 and ends on Sep 05, 2021
Knitwork is a community art project organized by the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation designed to inspire creativity and imagination through fiber art. Our fiber art rock garden is spread throughout Quidi Vidi Village showcasing work created using repurposed wool pieces contributed from our community of fiber artists.
Knitters, crocheters, and creatives of all skill levels are invited to contribute by joining us to knit/crochet on the main floor of the QVVP or by dropping off your finished pieces. We encourage you to use your leftover wool and be creative in your designs creating small pieces approximately 4 inches wide to 18 inches long.
During regular operation you can join us on the main floor in our knitting corner where we will have supplies and basic instruction available. Pieces can also be dropped off during regular hours Wednesday – Sunday 10-4 and will be accepted throughout the summer until September 5th.
If you don’t know how to knit or crochet and would like to learn check out our Knitwork playlist on the QVVP YouTube channel for some videos to help you get started!
Donations of wool, knitting needles, and crochet hooks are appreciated and welcomed 🙂
